This has been such an incredible season for me! I've been fortunate enough to enjoy my travels, make new friends, and attend some really fun events - all after coming back from a crazy injury and 3 surgeries last season!
I'm not sure I've ever had so many new and amazing experiences ever, let alone in one season! I had so much fun doing the 686 Catalog Shoot in the fall, followed by several photo/video-shoots for Tahoe Snowboard Magazine and Transworld and others through-out the season, getting on the podium in big events, and having so much motivation to see where else this sport and life can take me!
In early February, I did the Nike Chosen Event at Heavenly and took first place for the ladies! The set-up was huge and unforgettable! The guys put on an awesome show and I was happy to say that I hit such a monsterous jump and had a lot of fun doing it!
Next, I went to the Dew Tour Championships at Snow Basin, UT where I podiumed 3rd next to Spencer Obrien & Enni Rukajarvi! That was a huge accomplishment and really motivated me to step it up this season.
Then I went to the Grand Prix, final stop in Mammoth which I have never attended before. The course was absolutely HUGE and I was honestly terrified when I had showed up. My goal for myself, was to step up to the biggest course I had ever see - the result? I WON!!! I couldn't believe it!
I finished off my slopestyle event season at the Burton US Open, where I again was super super excited to have made it into Finals and place 6th/
Now I'm just really happy to be home, in Tahoe! Riding for fun, learning some new tricks, riding with friends, and a much less hectic schedule! I'm really excited to do some dry-land training this summer as well as make my way to Hood for some summer riding! So far, this season has definitely been one to remember for me and has really put me into another mind-frame! Thanks to all my friends, family, and sponsors (especially 686) who have supported me along the way & made it possible for me to call this my life!
